Chosen Artists, Performers and Permission

As we discussed that the genre of Dubstep and the band Modestep would be difficult to do overall due to the reasons that most of the songs they performed had no narrative/story line side towards it we thought through it that it would be difficult to portray and give reasons to why we did specific parts and scenes within our music video as we tried to create a rough concept to what we would do however when looking over this we cam to the conclusion that it wouldn't make any sense or reason.

Despite this we came across the band "Raided by Waves" who are of the rock genre, our group member Harry Byford managed to get into contact with the lead singer James Bennett on the social networking website "Facebook." Harry explained to him about the ideas and project we were creating for our music video overall, which James said on behalf of the band including Charlie Caine the drummer and bassist Navid Asghari that they would be interested in us using one of their songs and performing for us.

After this contact we came across their "Sound Cloud" account with the songs they performed and were interested in the song "Secret Sin." We came back to James about using this song however he was convinced to use the song "Every Second" but we made it clear that the concept of this song would be best to use. James obliged to this as well as the other band members and stated that they  would be remastering the song to use when the filming and performing starts for our music video.

When we met James and the band for the first time we pitched a rough storyline brief to the music video about being a rock love story, he suggested to us about using one of his friends called Lucy to be the love interest in the video as she portrayed the image well as you can see in the picture on the left. Lucy has straight long blonde hair, with piercings and tattoos across her arms, she could perhaps wear this or something similar on the day we film. We came to this idea in the first place about using a female rock love interest when we researched into music videos such as Nickelback's How you remind me which also featured a similar situation and thought it best will the name and lyrics of the song Secret Sin therefore creating a concept from this and applying it. However will also have a backup in case the music video turns out to be wrong with this situation and we will develop a new storyline from the footage we have at MTV.
